Concept inspiration: The Sonoran desert
The colors of the blooming desert of sonora that spans from Mexico to Arizona and New Mexico, inspired the colors for this collection. It takes a twist on the origins of Banana Republic as a brand of the safari explorer. This is a collection for the new explorer, for the nomad.
Form inspiration
Silhouettes for the bags were inspired by the modern nomad. Key details are the loose pocketing on the bags, front pockets, satchel and zip top closures. Hardware is textured with a soft rubber like texture, while the main inspiration material for the bags is synthetic materials like a 900 D Nylon. Other smaller silhouettes that are important in the collection are the cross body and the bum bag.
